Body Shaming Dress

Hi everyone! I know it is been a really really long time since I have posted but I am back! I am starting this year off with showing you my grade 12 art final! it is a dress that addresses body shaming within the media and affects all women. The dress is made from canvas that I had to sow (thanks grandma) and afterwards paint my desired design. this was extremely risky because it was time consuming and I didn't have a large time limit. it is coated in skin colours and has words describing headlines we all see. The black top is showing that kind of darkness that spreads through women and men's minds. Although directed to girls more often, this is why the dress is a symbol for women.
